In July 2020 Lancaster City Council adopted a new Local Plan for the district. This included the designation of a Broad Location for Growth in South Lancaster, including the expectation for a new garden village development. HSL continues to work with the Council and stakeholders in the preparation of an Area Action Development Plan Document (AAP).
